I read up to page 62 (just finished the bolt-on part). I want all tuners to know that the book is worth the money. It`s easy to understand and I can't wait to finish it all and its a LOT of GAIN for a BEGINNER like me. Thanks Bob, EXCELLENT JOB.

The learn@home course for The Tuning School's workbook has step by step instructions (with pictures) on what each change will do and it explains how to tune for just bolt-ons, heads/cam, and forced induction. This course is based on tuning with HP Tuners. It also gives you a recommendation on what each setting should be and a CD with videos that show you how to do it. It even comes with lamintated checklists so you don't forget where you are. I give this book an A++ and a must for the new tuners.

Overall, I went from having HPtuners and being clueless about using its power to feeling comfortable enough to plug in and go for it. After 2 day class, I cannot believe I ever paid a tuner to do this for me. Being able to do it yourself leads to a better tune. The HPtuner software makes it easy.
Knowing Bob Mandy and Larry are there to support us a phone call or email away is priceless.

The class was setup for the beginner without boring the experienced. Engine basics followed by EFI basics, then we got into HPT and kept going. Satuday was a long day but it went by so fast it could have been longer without pain. While at the dyno, one could imagine it would be boring as only so many can get involved tuning, but that was way off of what we saw. The instructor had a projector in the garage with the tune on the wall and each student had to do a step in the tune which kept everyone involved. Overall, a very good course, well worth the small investment in your knowledge of the tuning world.
